Medical disclaimer

Reference Material, Not Medical Advice.

TRT Foundation is an independent, reader-supported reference site on testosterone replacement therapy. It is not a clinic, not a nonprofit, and does not sell or prescribe anything.

Everything on TRT Foundation, including entries, glossary terms, tools and any answer in a FAQ, is general educational information about testosterone and testosterone replacement therapy. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for consultation with a licensed healthcare provider who knows your history and has examined you.

No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Reading this site, using a tool, or emailing the editor does not create a doctor-patient relationship or any professional relationship. The editor is not a clinician and does not answer individual medical questions.

Tools

The tools on this site perform arithmetic on numbers you type and compare them against published reference values that are labelled as typical and approximate. They do not diagnose, do not recommend any dose or change, and their output depends entirely on what you enter. Laboratory reference ranges differ by lab and assay, and the range printed on your own report takes precedence over anything shown here.

Do Not Delay Care

Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read here. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

Prescription Medicines

Testosterone is a prescription medicine and, in the United States, a controlled substance. Nothing on this site should be read as encouragement to obtain, use, adjust or stop it other than under the direction of a licensed prescriber.

Adults Only

This site is written for adults aged 18 and over. It does not address testosterone therapy in children or adolescents.
